Smile More green space for JC, "Marion Greenway Park" coming soon

There is a large new park coming in....

"The park will include soccer fields a quarter-acre extension of the Hackensack River Walkway, an open lawn/fairgrounds, a 1.5 mile-long jogging/walking path, and acres of wildflowers and newly planted trees, officials said."

The park is estimated to be completed by fall 2010.

    Screw jobs.

Let's build a park that will take years to build.

It's Sad, and I'm usually the happy one. I love parks and open spaces, but come on.

Parks are great and all, but this is horrible timing.

Your telling me the city of Jersey City couldn't find something better to do with $7 mil?

How about more cops on the street, or not laying people off.

I think it's bogus. Not that anything our elected officials do surprises me anymore.

I think it's BS that they are laying people off left and right. The area has to be capped, tests run, and then the park can be built once the area is deemed safe.

This project will take for ever, while people are hurting now.
